Still deciding how often it's going to be around! There might be a poll on that.

The reason there are only three posts is because if it went on much longer than that, there would probably just be a lot of reposts of the same people and then we'd all run out of things to say. It's better to let the love build up!

I'm thinking the meme will be seasonal. There was one in April for spring, so the next one will likely be in July for summer. The following ones will (hopefully) fall sometime in October and then February next year. :)

would it be possible to split the posts up by game/community or something? because the way the appreciation meme is currently set up is daunting at its best and overwhelming at its worst.

That could be possible, but it's hard to organize for that when many RPers are in multiple games or homeless. (Even just a 'homeless' category would result in the same unorganized threading we have now.) We could sort by character, but isn't there already something like that out there?

We're definitely open to suggestions though so if you have more specific ideas on how this could be practically applied for next time please do let us know!

Could we do it alphabetical by their plurk name? So there's a thread for A, a thread for B, etc., and everyone makes their initial comments in those threads.

As it is, it's really hard to go through and try to find specific people, so this would at least cut down on that.

if a player's in multiple games, how about they just get namedropped in each game they play in? that's way better than having to scour 30+ pages for that one person's name. and a homeless category would work for those who aren't really attached to any games but who others want to appreciate.

waaaay better. besides, keeping it to different games means maybe different friends/co-players responding. more could be said by a larger group of people without hitting 3000 from namedrops alone.

Hey, to help browse through the comments and whatnot, it could be helpful to have three seperate posts that are divided alphabetically for username handles. Like a-h, j-p, q-z, to know where to look for if your friend or you yourself has already been name dropped.

The next scheduled one would be on about February 15th, but to be honest, anon, I haven't personally been in the DW RP circle for an incredibly long time and I'm not very invested in this anymore. :( I may end up posting it, but if I decide not to I'll ask for someone to take this over instead.

Oops. Yeah, that was me completely forgetting about it. It's pretty clear my heart is no longer in this anymore, sorry anon!

I might make a post asking if anyone would like this username, but it would probably be easier for everyone if a knock-off was made, should someone desire to do such a thing.

it would be a good idea to see if anyone would like to take it over or encourage someone to make a knock-off if they so choose. If your heart's not in it any longer, that's completely fine - you gave us silly RPers a place to spread some love and kindness and that was really awesome.
